Insurance companies and Medicare cover most but not all medically necessary procedures (usually large or symptomatic varicose veins) but not cosmetic procedures (spider veins). In some cases, insurance programs will cover certain cosmetic procedures. The initial evaluation by the physician and the findings on ultrasound will be essential to give you the best chance of getting your treatment approved by the insurance company.
